THE DECLARATION OF
INDEPENDENCE IS THE FORMAL
STATEMENT, WRITTEN BY THOMAS
JEFFERSON AND ADOPTED BY THE
SECOND CONTINENTAL CONGRESS
DECLARING FREE AND INDEPENDENT
THE THIRTEEN AMERICAN COLONIES
OF GREAT BRITAIN. THE WERE
FIFTY-SIX SIGNERS. THIS LEAD TO
THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR.
IT WAS SIGNED ON JULY 4,
1776.

the U.S.A. He issued the
Emancipation of
Proclamation that freed the
slaves.
He was assassinated in
1865.The Americans celebrate
his birthday on February 12
with a holiday

The Liberty Bell
is the bell of Independence
Hall in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. It was run
on July 8, 1776 to proclaim
the independence of the
U.S.A. from England.
It cracked in 1835.
Statue of Liberty
was a gift of the people
of the U.S. from the
people of France .
She stands in the
middle of the harbour
of New York City. She
is a symbol of hope
and freedom for
immigrants.
American Flag is red, white and
blue. The fifty stars represent the
fifty states. The thirteen red and
white stripes represent the first
thirteen colonies

The Bald Eagle
It is the symbol bird of the U.S.A. The
Bald Eagle represents the traits of
courage, independence and stregth. It
is a large eagle with white-feathered
head and neck.
