t#e Asia Pa*i"i* area is mostl% su""ering "rom malnutrition.
Food is t#rown awa% wit#out t#e t#oug#t o" t#ose w#o are in
desperate need o" it. +estaurants and gro*er% stores t#row awa%
"ood e&er% nig#t )e"ore *losing. Man% Ameri*ans waste "ood
e&er% da% wit#in t#eir own #omes. 'it# so mu*# le"t o&er "ood in

Ameri*an #ow is it t#at an estimated ,00 million people around
t#e world su""er "rom #unger and malnutrition-
'orld .unger doesn$t #a&e a spe*i"i* starting da% or %ear,
and is still going on all o&er t#e world "rom de&eloping *ountries
to de&eloped *ountries. /#ere$s around ,00 million people
su""ering "rom malnutrition, around e&er% one in se&en people
su""er "rom malnutrition and e&er%da% 1!,000 people die "rom it.
'orld #unger is t#e num)er one #ealt# risk. Man% people don$t
take into *onsideration t#at #unger kills more t#an aids, malaria,
and tu)er*ulosis *om)ined ea*# %ear. '#en a person #asn$t
eaten an%t#ing t#eir mind *an$t "un*tion and t#eir immune
s%stem weakens so t#e% *an$t do well in s*#ool and t#e% will )e
a)le to get si*k more easil% t#an ot#ers. 'it# t#eir #ealt# not
"un*tioning rig#t it will also *ause man% a)sen*es leading to more
trou)le in t#eir edu*ation.

awareness to ot#er people on #ow ma(or o" an issue t#is is and

#elps people w#o don$t #a&e "ood to eat. /#e% also #a&e man%
people *oming in and &olunteering to #elp prepare t#e "ood to
gi&e out to t#ose w#o don$t #a&e. /#ere are also soup kit*#ens
and ot#er pla*e t#at o""er #elp to t#ose t#at need it. 9t#er
