Tragedy of Phenolic Air Ducts

Phenolic air ducts tricked many customers with their good anti-fire performance. The manufacturers concealed the
disadvantages, for example, they are easy to cracked and contain lots of formaldehyde, corrosive. Customers will not find
the disadvantages until they use the ducts.

Situation: There is no wind in the mall, the air conditioning system crippled, difficult to repair.
Cause Analysis:
1 Powder-like structure of phenolic, poor strength.
2 Because of powder-like structure, the glue loss the function, so it is easy to cracked.
3 Hydrochloric acid volume is about 1215 during the process of manufacturing phenolic, highly acid corrodes
aluminum layer, so the panel lose its protection.
Harm Analysis:
1 Air conditioning system cant run normally. Indoor comfort level would be lowed.
2 Phenolic powdered and formaldehyde would blow into shopping mall, which would affect customers health.
