KD485-PROG
Modbus to EI-Bisynch Converter

The KD485-PROG allows any Eurotherm drive equipped with communications

capabilities to talk with a Modbus RTU master. This includes the 590, 584S,
605 and 620 VECTOR series controllers.

The KD485-PROG is an intelligent converter, into which a MODBUS RTU to EI-

Bisynch program driver has been loaded. This allows one or more EI-Bisynch
slaves to appear as a single MODBUS slave. The mapping between MODBUS
registers and drive parameters is achieved by the Master writing to MODBUS
registers within the converter.

A supplied disk contains a Windows™ tool to download the program and

configure the MODBUS address of the converter.

KD485 Standard Features:

• Din-rail mounting
• 7 VDC to 25 VDC powered
• Port 2 is fully isolated
• RS422/485 2/4-wire interface
• Fully programmable.

The KD485-PROG is available in three versions:
