This article is about how women arent treated as equals to men when it comes to how much they are getting paid. Hsu argues that women do better in school and could have better qualifications than the men and yet women still will get paid 80 cents to every dollar the men gets. It shoes that the workforce was created to accommodate men more so than women. I agree with this because she makes another point that women have ore responsibility at home that men do so men get to work more hours than women.

Rhode states that the assumptions made about women are a disadvantage to them having inequalities to men because they tend to follow them and not make a change. She also talks about how media and your upbringing create the stereotypes within the genders.
"Gender Inequality in the U.S. Today." Trust Women. 19 Mar. 2012. Web.
This article is about how there is a more population of women that there are men and yet men are the ones that run this country. Within the congress senate, and House of Representatives women hold very few seats. Men are the ones that have the majority. Not only that but women at times get laid off for being pregnant and taking maternity leave this is really unfair because only women can have children so theres no way possible a man can ever get fired for this same thing.
Wood, Julia T. "Gendered Media: The Influence of the Media on Vies of Gender." www.nyu.edu. Web.
Woods article is about the stereotypes that the media portrays about men and women. The stereotypes are that women are dependent fragile emotional etc.. Men are portrayed as masculine, active, independent etc... These stereotypes are portrayed in magazines sports movies TV shows etc. People watch this stuff and the media influences them. They believe what the media is saying is true so theyll follow it. The portrayal of men and women and media shows how much inequality there is.
Cloud, Jeremy. "Media Views Skewed on Gender Issues." Media Views Skewed on Gender Issues. 11 July 2012. Web.
Cloud wrote this article to state that he hates gender inequality but he is in favor men. He believes that there is gender inequality but that women are doing much better. That everything that is written about women nowadays is positives. He believes that men are getting all the negative reviews. He believes its unfair how women are getting all this press and they have role models but men dont. Men are losing there role models and are expected to just sit back and relax because they are men and are expected to be able to make it on their own.
Jacobus, Lee A. "Masculinity by Germaine Greer." A World of Ideas: Essential Readings for College Writers. Boston: Bedford/St. Martin's, 2002. 725-37. Print.
Greer states that upbringing has to do a lot with the gender inequalities. Even as babies they are treated differently. Boy babies get what they want girl babies are expected to wait and learn patience. This shows the inequalities because boys can do whatever they want even as babies and nobody tells them anything. The women on the other hand has to be careful with what she does because she is judged much more hardly.
