Taking Notes

After selecting your sources, you should then take notes on that
information. You will use this information in your paper to
support your thesis. Basically, there are three ways to use
information in your paper. You can paraphrase, summarize or
quote applicable information. The information that you will find
will become a kind of research paper puzzle. Later your ob will
be to assemble the !puzzle pieces" when you write your paper.
#ead more and take more notes. Enter these in the document
titled Notecards. $opy and paste the form for each selection of
information. The form acts as separate notecards in this
document. You must ha%e a minimum of nine &'( notecards
&forms( from at least three&)( separate sources completed by
*anuary +)&A,day(, -.+/ and *anuary +/ &B,day(, -.+/. Be sure
to use the links in the form for correct citation formatting, but
double, check formatting does not get lost when pasting.
You will continue taking notes from all of your required sources,
but this initial due date insures that you are doing it correctly.
All of your note cards are due with the abstract of the paper by
*anuary --&A,day(, -.+/ and *anuary -) &B,day(, -.+/.

the deliberations and testimony of scientists, physicians,
ethicists, and those who, for religious reasons, moral

both adult and embryonic human stem cells0 to permit
the e$pansion of the number of embryonic stem-cell
lines for research purposes0 and to encourage research
into ways of preventing the immune re1ection of stem

he second panel considered the scientific, medical, and
ethical aspects of reproductive cloning and nuclear
transplantation for the production of pluripotent human

intention of the report, *Scientific and -edical Aspects of

information to broad segments of society, including
government and private agencies. he panel
recommended the prohibition of human reproductive
cloning and suggested enacting a legally enforceable ban
on the procedure and scheduling a review of this
recommendation within five years. 3t concluded that the
scientific and medical considerations that 1ustify a ban
on human reproductive cloning were not applicable to
nuclear transplantation for the production of stem cells.
he legally enforceable ban would protect against rogue

for reproductive cloning. he panel also encouraged a
