Table

For making a new table first click on

Insert tab  Table  Insert Table

Click here

Then Insert Table window will appear there you can enter
Number of columns and Number of rows. In the above image we
took 5 numbers of columns and 2 numbers of rows; for this
:entries table will look like

Furthermore if you want to do some changes in table

regarding insertion and deletion of rows and columns, cell Merge
(combine), cell Split (break), and table formatting; all of these
functions we can do using Table Tools Tabs in ribbon. But
when you will see in the ribbon there is no Table Tools tab
 available. To display this tab you have to click inside table as
.demonstrated in following two images

Table tools tab again divide into two parts first is Design
tab and second is Layout tab. The Design tab include the
functions related to formatting and appearance of Table and the
Layout tab include options related to table structure like
insertion, deletion of rows and columns, cell splitting and cell
.merging. First we look at Layout tab

  To delete any row or column just put cursor in that row or
column then go to table toolsLayoutDelete (select the
.(appropriate option what you want to delete see above image
To insert a row you put the cursor in the row then you can
insert a row above or below of that row using the insert above
.and insert above option available near to delete option
 To insert a column you put the cursor in the column then
you can insert a column left or column right of that column using
the insert left and insert right option available near to delete

Merge cell option use to combine many cells into one cell.
First select the number of cellsclick on merge cells option in
.Layout tab

 

Split cells option is opposite of merge cells; split cells option

use to divide/ break/ one cell into many number of cells. First
click inside cellclick on split cellsplit cell window will open
(enter no. Of column and rows you want to break cell as in below
