Subject: FYI....Arrival of ComVans/Conditions at Oso
Date: Wednesday, February 01, 2006 2:08:14 PM
The ComVans will arrive at DEM today around 3:00. The drivers were delayed due to
the inclimate weather in the passes; then one of the drivers accidentally backed one
of the vans into the other one. The company flew out one of their employees to deal
with that, the vehicles were taken to Freightliner in Mt Vernon for assessment; the
damage has been documented and a plan is in place for the repairs. We will house
the vans in the hangar adjacent to the DEM building while additional equipment is
installed.

Regarding the graphics, I am presuming the following is acceptable based on your
previous input: Snohomish County Communications and Command Vehicle with
the County logo, and a horizontal listing of the agencies authorized to use the
vehicles. We may be able to get Boeing to donate the graphics, but that would be
later after the ILAs are signed and the other equipment is installed.

The Oso incidentThe Corps of Engineers are still on site, doing some finish up
work. They are placing more gravel on the road, moving ecology blocks and expect
to pull out around 4-5 today. Public Works will remain for the next couple of days to
put grass over the rocks for aesthetic purposes.

Let me know if you have questions regarding the above. Thank you.
