Analysis How to Tame a Wild Tongue

How to Tame a Wild Tongue

After Glorias father had passed-away she really had to work extra hard to pay for her
higher education. She became a school teacher, an academic speaker and writer. Wow huh, what
an impressive accomplishment to achieve for anyone. Miss Anzaldua was born in (1942) She is
best known for her book The Bridge Called My Back. Writings that were written by radical
women of color in (1981) she edited them with Cherrie Morgan, and Borderlands / La Frontera:
The New Mestiza (1987).
Glorias powerful ways of expressing her rhetoric views, with either form written or
verbally, she can knock it out of the ball-park baby. Giving it an extremely strong demonstration
of her persuasive abilitys, and that just drives her dynamic pathos of emotions into high gear
boosting her confidents through the roof. Proving to her-self and others, that might have the
ability to read, hear her (listening to audio books) and of course feel the dynamics of her amazing
ethos, her credibility, it is easily seen within her multiple expressions of her wonderfully raw
talents. Them their God-given type like kind of stuff, you know?

After carefully reading the essay How to Tame a Wild Tongue by Gloria Anzaldua:
mental visions of her identity crisis struck an emotional chord within her Pathos, an emotion that
causes, anguish, pain and or sorrow. To Miss Anzaldua; her language is a direct link to her
identity, her heritage and on top of all that, her credibility too, or so she also believes.
Part of her identity crisis may stem from minorities and their negative way of expressing
outward emotions. Continuously seeing emotional knifes being thrown at her there aim is to hit
Glorias Spanglish. These stabs slowly diminish her personal acceptance of her self-esteem.
Quoting her uniquely diverse background gives others knowledge that provides insight of her
extraordinary past obstacles she had to overcome. It also shows brief glimpses of a few different
styles and ways she may have been raised or brought-up.
Although having been raised by two great stand-up Mexican immigrants as parents they
Glorias mother and father decided to settled down and raised their daughter, with her siblings in
some Southern part of Texas. She grew-up learning her native tongue through her parents,
grandparents and other family members. Even though a great deal of Sadness filled her eyes as
she unwillingly accepted being forced to learn the English language, because she lived in the
United States. All the while Gloria tried dealing with her internal frustrations, brought on by the
major conflicts between the two languages; Spanish-English.
Gloria feels that her credibility is at stake. As she explains, I feel Im not truly accepted,
either as a native Spanish speaker, and Im just as equally not socially accepted or recognized by
those who speak English. It is blatantly obvious to her that this feeling of not being socially
identifiable or accepted by either group is apparently a big deal. But Logically Gloria has yet to
see its Logos; having both languages at the ready should prove worthiness of being accepted

within at least one of two languages, simply because she was given one of them at birth and she
has taken all the necessary time and energy to properly speak both languages equally respectful
and accurately to show it too.
It is considered an appropriate way of communicating to some-one. If you use the same
langue they do. Regardless of its style, dialect, text or form even if it is broken-up proper
Spanish, or broken-up proper English. This new combining and mixing languages together has
rapidly become known and accepted as a near borders language, so it is logical to think and
speak the same language as the other person does, as far as whom you are talking to. In order to
show proper respect, to that person or people you are talking to.
As for the folks like Gloria who speak this Spanglish, half the population has repeatedly
reported experiencing, seeing signs of discrimination coming from others towards all of the
people who speak this Spanglish, type of language. This type of stereotyping is very sad!!!
The intentional mentioning of its great importance, this language thing, it is to be as a
mirrored reflection because it carries such deep concerns of personally identifying ones self
falsely or not and preventing a major crisis from forming.
Such evidence of having extremely low-esteem issues should be able to be seen by now.
Well, well, well where do you suppose these low-self-esteem issues come from? Well where
they come from is not having the true and correct effective method of ones shaping being
preformed properly, in the molding of ones perfect little angle, it is meant to be of a positive
outcome, this is implanted by ones care givers, and their environmental culture and their lifes
natural daily influences as well.

As childhood experiences have conveyed itself and the way it gets viewed according to
the terms of true and proper interpretations thereof. In building-up ones positive pathos their
emotions it is putting together all those permanently defective thoughts together and regrouping
them, it is a type of process that results with no more bad pathos = Emotions. These issues if not
found and fixed through absolute certainty of using the proper way of knowing how to learn the
deferents between right or wrong, good and bad. Subjectively remaining lost in some form of
deception, hidden deep within the brain these things can drive a person to go insane. However,
fortunately for Gloria she swiftly seen and recognized her problems and their ugly attached-low-
self-esteem crisis.
Through many rigorous self-esteem evaluation experiments, she learns that she can
simply respect her-self and be happy about whom she is. Or she could end up continuously
fighting herself, neglecting her own better good, and choosing to be forever un-happy, and never
accepting who she truly is. Gloria is a kind, caring, peaceful, fun loving individual that is
naturally just a great person who is fun to be around, you know? The type of person with a real
big heart, sharp mind, and tries to hide her very peaceful soul. The end
