Dear Families,
Hello! My name is Hanna Slagal and I am your childs student teacher for Miss
Michelle for the next 16 weeks! From now until May 7 I will be assisting Miss Michelle in
any way.
I am currently enrolled full time at Ivy Tech Community College in Marion. I am
studying Early Childhood Education. This is my first Practicum class and I am very excited
to take all I have learned in my previous courses and apply it within the classroom.
During my stay at St. Paul Catholic Parish School I will be assisting Miss Michelle in
advancing the students and preparing them for their next academic step. Along with this, I
will be aiding her in the classroom in any way possible. As previously mentioned, this is my
first time working in a classroom. I am very excited to start my educational career and I
will do my absolute best to help your child as well as myself benefit from these 16 weeks.
My previous experience with children involves taking care of family and friends. I
babysat for a total of 7 years and have been successful in doing so. I absolutely love
working with young children as it helps me to gain a better understanding of the
importance of the influence of a positive and enriching education for young children. Along
with this experience I have always been interested in learning all I can about how children
grow and develop through education. Learning this information has been a passion of mine
and I could not be more anxious to apply what I know to the classroom!
I could not be more excited to finally work in Miss Michelles classroom! I have been
looking forward to working in the field for a while now. From this experience, I am hoping
to help expand your childs educational views and help advance them for their next
educational step. I am looking forward to getting to know your child and doing what I can
to help guide them toward the path of success! This spring semester is going to be a lot of
fun as well as an educational one!
