Topic/Title of Lesson: Rainbow Focused Domain: Cognitive

Goal: Children will understand how a rainbow can be made in water.

Objective: Children will be able to observe a rainbow.

Procedure: 1. Take the glass of water and the paper to a part of the room with
Sunlight near a window is good or it could be out side. 2. Hold the glass of
Water above the paper and watch as sunlight passes through the glass of water
Refracts (bends) and forms a rainbow of colors on the sheet of paper. 3. Try
Holding the glass of water at different heights and angles to see if it has a

Advance Preparation: explain the children how rainbow are made.

A glass of water (about three quarters full)
White paper
A sunny day

Future Plans: Teach the children the colors of the rainbow red, orange, yellow,
Green, blue & violet. Help them memorize them and have them draw a
Rainbow.

Topic/Title of Lesson: Changing Color of Carnations Focused Domain: Cognitive

Goal: Children will discover for themselves how essential the functions of roots
And stems are to plants growth.

Objective: In this experiment children will demonstrate how plants drink
water from the ground up.

Procedure: 1. Have the children fill vase ! full of warm water. 2. Add 10 to 20
Drops in the vases and have the children put in the their flower. 3. Let the
Flowers sit for a day. Have the children check every few hours to see how its
Working.

Advanced Preparation: cut the trim of each flower before giving them to the
Children.

List Materials:
White Carnations enough for each children
Flower vases
Food color (red, green and blue work better)
Warm water

Future Plans: have the children draw I picture of the before and after of the
Carnation.

Goal: children will understand what objects float and which of them sink.

Objective: children will discuss and observe way the objects sink or float.

Procedure: Start by asking the children what they think about the objects are

Topic/Title of Lesson: Daisy Petal Count Focused Domain: Physical: fine motor

Goal: children will reinforce there counting skills.

Objective: Children will create different daisies by counting the petals.

Procedure: 1. Ask the children to cut out the yellow centers, the green stems,
And the white petals of the flower. 2. Choose some numbers to add to the
Centers of the flower and have the children get 4 stems, and 4 yellow centers.
3. Children will glue the stems to the blue construction paper and the centers of
The flower to it. 4. Each children will add the correct amount of petals that the
Centers have and glue them to form a daisy flower.

Advanced Preparation: draw some centers of the flowers an add a number to
Each of them, also draw steams and the petals for children to cut them.

Construction paper (yellow, green, white and blue)
Scissors

Topic/Title of Lesson: Coins Rub Focused Domain: Physical; fine motor

Goal: children will learn to rub over an objet like money.

Objective: Children will create their own impressions of coins.

Procedure: 1. Give each children 4 pieces of paper and for coins a penny,
Nickel, dime and a quarter. 2. Firs start with the small coin lay the paper that
Sais penny and rub a penny using a crayon, then using a marker, coloring
Pencils and with a pencil. 3. Then keep doing the same with the other coins.
4. At the end ask the children with what coin was easier to rub and which one
Was more difficult? What impressions did they like more the coins they were
rub with the crayons, markers, coloring pencils or with the pencil?

Advanced Preparation: write each page the name of a coin penny, nickel, dime
And quarter do as much as you need remember that each children need
One of each.

Coins; pennys, nickels, dimes, and quarters
Crayons, markers, coloring pencils, and pencils
