THE ROBIN
The robin is a little bird that we often see on Christmas cards.
One reason is that winter is the season of the year when the
robin comes to our gardens. It's red at the front of its body and
this lets us easily see it, especially when there is snow on the
ground.
Although you can't help but love this bird, it doesn't have such a
friendly character! In fact, it likes to be alone and won't let any
other robin enter "its - that is- your garden. It even gets angry
when it looks into a pool of water and sees another robin.
1) Based on the text, how many other robins would the robin who visits you want in your
garden?

b) none

PEN OR PENCIL?
Pens and Pencils are what we use to do all our handwriting.
Some students like to use pencils more than pens, others like
the opposite. The truth is that by using a pencil you can
correct a mistake by erasing it and re-writing easily. That can't
easily be done with a pen. However, teachers like students
who use ink because it shows that they are more sure about
their work.
Whichever method you use, in the final analysis, it is what you
write that is much more important than how you write.
SCHOOL BAGS
Every student has a school bag, whether s/he likes it or not. Its
always too heavy, being full of books, exercise books, pens,
pencils. even food and drink. For some, it is so heavy that their
bag has wheels at the bottom to make their lives easier, although
the noise the wheels make is very loud.
The bags are of all shapes and sizes, colours and designs: small
and brightly coloured in Kindergarten, becoming very big and
dark by Gymnasium.
The strange thing is that for many years they are a part of us but, whenever we reach
home each day, we are so happy to get them off our backs.
