Pics-Fair Submission Guidelines


Aldine ISD - Digital Imagery Photography Division

Would you like a chance to show off your digital photography, while at the same time helping others learn from your
images? The Digital Photography submission is a chance to share your photograph.
Submission guidelines: Entries must adhere to the following guidelines.
(1) Photograph must be taken between September 1 and December 4 of the submission year.
(2) Your entry is due on December 4.
(3) Photograph must be taken with a digital camera.
(4) Photograph must be JPG format only, no more than 600 dpi and no larger than 1,600 by 1,600 pixels.
(5) Photograph must be one of the following: color; black and white; or sepia.
(6) You must have personally taken the photograph and any person in the photograph must give you written
permission to submit it. By submitting, you are agreeing that the photograph is your work and free of copyright
elsewhere.
(7) The submitted photograph is the property of the photographer submitting it and may not be copied without their
permission.
(8) Submit one photograph per student and six students are eligible to compete per campus.
(9) Photograph must be submitted using 8 x 10 prints and matted to a board. Matted boards can be purchased at
hobby or craft stores.
(10) Include a 3 paragraph summary (300 to 700 words) about your photograph using the appropriate science concepts,
topics and associated vocabulary. Include appropriate reference sources as necessary and cite sources appropriately
if you use any research. Must be typed written using 12 point font.
