Lay-off of an Industrial Establishment

The detailed procedure for lay-off of the industrial establishment:

1. An application in Form O-3 in triplicate! Form of application for
permission to lay-off, to continue the lay-off of workmen in an industrial
establishment to which provision of Chapter V-B of the Industrial Dispute
Act, !"# $" of !"#% is re"uired to be sent to the Appropriate #o$ernment
for see%in& permission for lay-off. The copy of the same application to be
ser$ed on the 'or%men concerned and a proof to the effect is also re"uired to
be submitted alon& 'ith the application.
(. )otice in Form O-1 for commencement! should be displayed in the )otice
*oard of the +ite Office 'ithin ,- days. simultaneously endorsin& copies of
the same to all the concerned authorities. /opies of )otice are to be ser$ed
either by hand or by re&istered post 'ith ac%no'led&ment due and receipts are
to be preser$ed.
3. The follo'in& benefits must be paid on the date precedin& to the date of lay-
off to all the 'or%ers 'ho 'ill be completin& continuous ser$ice of one ,1!
year or more on the day immediately precedin& the date of lay-off.
