This inv ention r elates to imp r ov ements in toy
guns and has sp ec ial r ef er enc e to a sp ec ially
c onstr uc ted gun f or shooting elastic bands and
the lik e.
An obj ec t of the p r esent inv ention is to p r ov ide
a toy gun with a f r eely r ev olv able wheel and a
unique mec hanism f or r etaining a p lur ality of
elastic bands and to f ur ther p r ov ide an imp r ov ed
sp r ing c ontr olled tr igger means f or r eleasing the
said elastic bands.
Another obj ec t of the p r esent inv ention is the.
p r ov ision of an imp r ov ed c ombined lev er means
assoc iated with the tr igger f or c ontr olling the
said mec hanism.
A f ur ther obj ec t of the p r esent inv ention is to
f or m the body of the gun in elongated halv es,
whic h halv es ar e made of metal or p lastic r e
mov ably sec ur ed one to the other to f ac ilitate
the assembly of the tr igger mec hanism within
the gun.
A still f ur ther obj ec t of the p r esent inv ention
is to p r ov ide a toy gun of the c har ac ter desc r ibed
that is dur able, simp le in c onstr uc tion, ec onomi
c al to manuf ac tur e, and highly e? ic ient and
ser v ic eable in use.
Other obj ec ts and adv antages will be ap p ar ent
dur ing the c our se of the f ollowing desc r ip tion.

R ef er r ing in detail to the dr awings and the
numer als ther eof , the numer als 1 and 8 designate
as a whole the two halv es f or ming the body of
the gun, whic h halv es ar e sec ur ed one to the
other by suitable sc r ews 9 . The numer al l0
designates the bar r el of the gun, the numer al I I
the handle ther eof and the numer al l2 the r e

ing the tr igger mec hanism. The numer al l3
designates a suitable wheel r ev olv ably mounted
on a shaf t H, whic h shaf t is' ? xed in the stoc k

in the gun if desir ed. The wheel is f or med with
a p lur ality of elongated ar ms l5 , slightly bev eled
as at. l6 f or r etaining a p lur ality of elastic bands
I 1 , the said bands being loop ed ov er a sight l8
that is r ec essed as at l 9 . _
The tr igger 2 0 is p iv otally sup p or ted on the
stoc k of the gun as at 2 | and c ar r ies a lev er 2 2
that is p iv oted ther eto as at 2 3 . A sec ond lev er
2 4, notc hed as at 2 5 is p iv otally sec ur ed to the
? r st mentioned lev er 2 2 as at 2 6, the said sec ond
lev er being p iv oted to the stoc k of the gun as at
2 1 , and is p r ov ided with an ov er hanging lip 2 8 ,
whic h lip is c ap able of ar r esting the wheel [ 3
by r etaining a wheel ar m I 5 ther eon as shown to
adv antage in Fig. 1 . A c oil sp r ing 2 9 is p r ov ided
and one end ther eof is sec ur ed to the sec ond
mentioned lev er as at' 3 B and the op p osite end
f astened to the gun c asing as at 3 | , wher eby the
said lev er is r esiliently r etained in its nor mal

of the gun c asing and abuts the r ear up p er p or
tion of the tr igger to p r ov ide a stop f or limiting
the inner mov ement of the tr igger . The f r ont
extr emity of the gun is f or med hollow as at 3 4
and an elongated c ylindr ic al member 3 5 is p r o
v ided on the bottom p or tion of the gun bar r el
to assimilate the dev ic e to a r egular p istol. The
r ear p or tion of the r ec essed c asing I 2 is p r ef er
ably c losed as at 3 6 f or ming a p r otec tiv e medium
to p r ev ent the elastic bands f r om ? ying bac k
war ds. I t will be obv ious that the said c asing I 2
is made of a suitable width to p r ov ide su? ic ient
sp ac e f or ac c ommodating any number of elastic
bands it is desir ed to shoot. For the p ur p ose of
c lar ity only two elastic bands 3 ' ! ar e shown in
the p r esent illustr ations, but the gun c an be
c omp letely loaded by hav ing a band mounted
ov er eac h ar m [ 5 and str etc hed to the r ec ess l9
in the sight l8 when desir ed.
Fr om the f or egoing desc r ip tion tak en in c on
j unc tion with the ac c omp anying dr awings it will
be obv ious that when an elastic band I ! is loop ed
ov er the up p er ar m l5 near est the sight I 8 as
shown to adv antage in Fig. 1 and the tr igger 2 0
is p ulled, as shown to adv antage in Fig. 3 , the
f r ont hor izontal ar m I 5 will be r eleased f r om the
lev er lip 2 8 and the said top ar m will be mov ed

band, the elastic ity in the band c ausing the same
to be shot outwar dly abov e the other bands and
ac r oss the sight l8 as illustr ated in Fig. 3 . The
notc h 2 5 in the lev er 2 6 limits the mov ement of
the wheel l3 and the ar ms ther eon when shoot
ing. Af ter the tr igger is r eleased by the user ,

the c oil sp r ing 2 9 will p ull the lev er 2 4 bac k to its
nor mal p osition, wher eby the top lip 2 8 ther eon
r ec eiv es and holds the wheel ar m near est ther eto
as illustr ated to adv antage in Fig. 1 and in whic h
p osition the gun is r eady to shoot another band.
I t is to be under stood that the f or m of my in
v ention her ewith shown and desc r ibed is to be
tak en as a p r ef er r ed examp le of the same and
that v ar ious c hanges r elativ e to the shap e, size,
