A GENERAL INFORMATION OF PROPOSED OVER YAMUNA RIVER AT KALPI

INTRODUCTION :-

The old existing Rail bridge is an important structure over Yamuna river located near at Kalpi station
in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
These 10 X 76.2 m girders to bomb standard were opened to traffic by Shri J.N Subramanian, D.S.C
Railway Jhansi on dated 21
st
June 1970
In replacement of whirple Murphy type girders, commissioned to traffic in 1888 by Indian midland
railway the newly fabricated steel girders erected. The erection started on 1
st
June 1969.
