Qualifications
I am currently a Senior at West Virginia State University in the field of Elementary Education. I
am very hard working and I get along with everyone. I love to work with others and work hard
everyday to better myself as a person and as an educator. I am CPR and First Aid certified and
also have a degree in Management Information Systems from Kanawha Valley Community and
Technical College.

Sohos Italian Restaurant
Waitress April 2008- Current
Check with guests to see if they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any
problems if need be.
Inform customers of daily specials
Write patrons orders on slips, memorize orders, and enter orders into computer to send to
kitchen staff.
Collect payments from customers.
Present menus to customers, answer any questions they have, and take food and beverage
orders.
Clear dishes when patrons are finished with meals.
Set-up tables and food and drink stations before restaurant opens.
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, linens, take-out boxes, and table wear.
Describe and recommend drinks and wines to patrons.
Recommend and describe food dishes and how they are prepared.
Make sure patrons are happy by having a professional and courteous attitude.

Outback Steakhouse
Waitress January 2005- April 2008
Set up dining area and condiment stations when opening, and broke down stations when
closing.
Checked other wait staffs side-work to make sure they completed it correctly.
Went to promotional events to serve food and take care of patrons.
Checked out the wait staff at the end of the night to make sure their credit cards matched
and paid them out.
Collected payments from customers.
Made sure patrons were happy and refilled drinks and checked if food was prepared
correctly.

Tri-State Racetrack and Gaming Center
