Questions:
Why is teaching such an underpaid profession? When our future generations hand
lie under the care of our teachers
Why were teaching laws and standards put into effect? What purpose do they serve?
If any?

heard of it until now?

Points of Interest:
I think its very startling that so much of education reform and assessment is geared
towards standardized testing. When will this norm go away? What do we have to do
to prove that it is not beneficial?
The story of Ravenstree High School not running like a business is so terribly
saddening. A school is not meant to be a business. Its meant to educate and provide
a learning environment for children.
How can we get great teachers into inner-city schools? I am shocked that more
teachers do not have the heart to take on such a mission.
The story of Jaime Escalanteone size doesnt fit all. Not every teaching method will
work for every teacher. It is our job to do our best with the resources, students and
skills we have to educate the youth.
