About the facilitator:

Susan Stewart has worked in professional services firms for over


15 years focusing in areas of communications, strategy, business
development and change management. Susan currently works
at leading global architecture firm, Woods Bagot as the Global
Strategic Development and Change Manager and also consults
externally to clients. In her roles Susan works closely with
leadership to articulate and implement the organisational vision
and develop integrated and aligned communications initiatives.

About the facilitators:
Andrea Appleby trained as a journalist and has worked in public
relations, corporate communications, not-for-profit, major
infrastructure projects and was internal communications manager
at three Victorian Government departments and more recently
at Australia Post. Andrea has stories from 25-years experience
connecting people. She believes organisations can no longer rely
on two-way communication with their employees but must take on
a more collaborative approach to connect with employees using
social media and more deliberative forms of engagement.

Susan previously worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager


in Communications and as a Communications and Change
Management Consultant. She has a Masters is Communication
Management and is particularly interested in organisational culture
and its impact on change.

Ben Bars has spent the last 15 years building brand and
communication strategies for clients such as McDonald's, Cathay
Pacific, Yahoo! and Vodafone.

About the facilitator:

Growing up in Norway where folktales for centuries have been key


to pass on cultural traditions and entrench social norms, Andrea
early realised the power of stories and symbols to drive a desired
culture. After training as journalist, in 2008 she was contracted
to provide internal communications support during the merger of
Bendigo Bank and Adelaide Bank. Six years later she heads up
Bendigo and Adelaide Banks Employee Communications function,
setting the direction for the organisations internal communications
and employee engagement strategies. Andreas passion lies in the
convergence of culture, change management and communication.

employee driven communications.

She also runs her own network marketing company, is an active


member of the Little Black Dress Group and qualified to teach
ballet, tap and disco! Originally from Paisley Scotland, Michelle
loves the Australian way and culture, especially the people!
