Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for complete management of documents
consisting of project drawings, specifications, sketches, drawing supplements, permits, logs, contract files and correspondence, etc.
Responsibilities will include:
and distributing all permits, permit updates and maintaining permit logs Maintaining contract documents, drawings and specifications for all team members, including distribution of sketches, bulletins, addenda and supplements to all team members and retained subcontractors Managing the entire submittal process. Assistant Project Manager must have an inclination of what take priority over others, and will manage both subcontractors and reviewers considering this, assuring that subcontractors submit items when they must be submitted in the fashion they must be submitted and that the reviewer complete the review in a timely fashion to progress on the project Coordinating shop drawing information across trades where warranted Assuring that the job superintendents have a full file of complete and approved shop drawings for their reference Managing the Requests For Information by being the recipient of RFIs, reading and understanding them, sharing them with the Project Manager and taking direction on how to process each particular question, given the circumstances The APM acts as the scribe for the project team, maintaining all meeting minute records and notes for Staff Meetings, Subcontractor Meetings and Scope Meetings Responsible for preparing a Powerpoint of 5-6 project photos each month for the DCR report Becoming involved in subcontractor solicitation at the discretion of the Project Manager Preparing as-built package and O&M Manuals Facilitating end-user training and assuring that training is prosecuted and videotaped per AVB policy for each system being turned over
Requirements:
Bachelors degree (preferred) A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry Superior communication & interpersonal skills Strict attention to detail Profound appreciation for time constraints Must be a business oriented person
