On August

25, Engrained
earned a
Green
Restaurant
Certication
from the Green
Restaurant
Association.
They received a 2 Star certication; only 6 other
restaurants in the state of Michigan have earned
this level.
Restaurants can earn stars by using local foods,
green/blue cleaning
products, and demonstrating
the buildings efciency.
Earning the certication
helped to cut water, waste,
and energy costs at the
location. It will also drive in
new customers and help
create a healthier
environment. Food Service
Director, Aaron Johnson
says he hopes to earn a third
star in the near future.
