Format: Visual Storyboard

Topic: What does it take to make a law?

Directions: 1. You will research about the steps it takes to make a law
Note: Use your textbook, search enginees, library resources, and the
resources listed below to help you research
2. Make a visual storyboard that shows the steps it take to make a law
Note: This is LIKE an outine of story. I just want you to know the main
points and steps of how a bill becomes a law. NO COPYING
EXAMPLES THAT I HAVE PROVIDED! Everyone is to have a
speaking part in this presentation!
3. Your visual storyboard can be made through websites, or hand made or video
recorded.
Note: If your storyboard is handmade it is to be clearly written and
readable and the font should be big enough to read from the back row of
the classroom. This storyboard is to be creative by you and your group, be
orginal!
4. This is a visual presentation, so be creative! Use any or all the technology
resources that are available to you to make this the most effective visual
presentation.
Note: If you make a video recording, yes you are required to have
costumes in your presentation! If you dont want to dress up then I suggest
lots of animation and pictures in you presentation

Student Role: You and your partner are the President and Vice President of the United States

Audience: The country of the United States

Format: Speech

Topic: What are Checks & Balances? How does the 3 branches of government work?

Directions: 1. Research the 3 branches of government
2. Research what are checks and balances in the U. S. government
Note: this is not a money check
3. Organize your information to what you will use and not use in your speech
4. Make an outline of your speech
Note: if you are working with a partner, both of you must speak! One
person is the president and the other is the vice president in the speech
5. Practice your speech
Note: I will be randomly recording some groups for this presentation so be
sure to practice your speech!

Audience: Your fellow classmates

Format: Video Recording

Topic: How does impeachment work? Who can we impeach?

Directions: 1. Research what is impeachment
Note: Nothing to do with the fruit, peaches
2. Gather your research and organize it
3. Start making your script
Note: your role is to be this high power authority figure that will be
speaking to students your age, this is a formal presentation/ writing to be
used. Everyone must have a speaking part!
3. Practice what you will be saying! You will only get so many chances to record
and fix (you will be limited to class time and study halls, anything you dont
finish in this time you will have to finish on your own time)
Note: Since this is a formal presentation you are expected to be wearing
formal appropriate clothes while being recorded in your video
