The design concept was based in the architecture of the house to
create a balanced and sophisticated atmosphere. The transitional style permeated in the open concept, from the interior architecture to the custom ordered furniture. The house exhibited an Italian Villa style with a contemporary twist. The end result was an elegant but livable space, for the family of four. Project published in Modo De Vida Fam. Pabn, Mayaguez, PR This house was an example of a Before and After project. The client needed to flip the house to make it a more efficient space. The family loved to make family gatherings and this was the inspiration to create spaces that invited people to sit and share. The formal dining set was occupying the first room in the house. It was relocated. And a beautiful living space was created to welcome visitors and family. This house was designed into a more casual simple space, helping the homeowner make sense of the furniture already owned but in a more practical and effective layout to live and entertain friends. Guaynabo, PR The client needed to finish the renovations of his house that were paused for five years. He was living in China and confided in me to finish and supervise the labors in the house so it could be rented. They wanted a clean modern Italian design style. The house had no kitchen, no doors or hand rail in the stairs. The materials, finishes and equipment that was needed, was specified, bought and installed. Finished product after installation of doors, glass and stainless steel rail and kitchen. Condado, PR The client wanted to update a rental apartment that had an outdated look, to make it more attractive to new renters. The apartments bathroom was renovated completely and the rest of the apartment was redecorated and accessorized. The client requested to reuse as much as the original furniture as possible. Travertine tiles and mosaic was used to give it a sophisticated look. Sabanera de Dorado, Dorado PR The design concept was based in the needs of the client. The couple wanted the house to have a beachside feel but not as casual, since it was their year round house. This project is on the accessories phase. New drywall moldings with wood detail Plaza Las Amricas, Hato Rey, PR 12 selected designers with the challenge of creating a whole house inside Plaza Las Amricas. Selected to design the foyer and half bathroom in the house. The focal point of the foyer was the water feature designed exclusively for the exhibition. The inspiration was taken from water drops and the sound of rain, it was constructed locally in collaboration with a mechanical engineer, Juan Carlos Daz. The water feature dropped water precisely into a stainless steel floor plaque that concealed the water basin, for a total clean look. The whole concept was to create a refreshing and welcoming area into the house, in a very modern clean proposal. It included also a green wall and sandy texture treatment. Simple look inspired by the textures found in nature. The perfect companion to the foyers design. Designed to be a statement, inverting the usual use of colors in small spaces, the dark colors were used in walls and floors and light textures in details in a vertical proposal. Mayra A.
