A University of Virginia alumnus and Rhodes Scholar, Charles Shanor, J D, is a law professor at Emory University School of Law. He is an expert in employment, constitutional, and national security and counterterrorism law. A former general counsel for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Mr. Shanor has fought employment discrimination in the United States Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court.
After years of practicing employment discrimination law, Mr. Shanor refocused his career to the study and teaching of constitutional and national security counterterrorism law, publishing works in both fields. He is the author of Counterterrorism Law, a Foundation Press publication that was originally released in 2011. In addition, he authored National Security and Military Law in 2003, and Military Law in 2013. His other works include the articles Terrorism, Historical Analogies, and Modern Choices, and Employment Cases from the 2007-2008 Supreme Court Term, published in the Emory International Law Review and the Labor Lawyer, respectively.
