Subject: Application for leave of absence for missed classes

I was unable to attend your class on two occasions so far this semester due to reasons concerning
arriving late for class. I was absent on Thursday because I had arrived late due to an unusually
heavy traffic jam on my route. Additionally, I was unable to attend your class on Monday since I
missed to leave house early to attend the morning class due to a late night sleep.

I would be highly obliged if you would kindly accept my application. I understand that missing
classes is both unacceptable and detrimental for me as a student.
