Period 6 Self Reflections(self reflective Log), the community services that has been done.
So let me tell you about before I came into Canadian pre-university(CPU ). When I first came to this program I was really shy to express to other people in other words it also means that I am a very shy person. Eventually I realized after a couple of months or weeks that the program had gave me a stepping stone to learn more about the situations that is going on and how the exam does not mean everything to get a solid foundation. The people were very nice and very friendly in the place itself. The things that I have done so far it helping any volunteer work for the sake of helping others. Most people goes there to finish community work hours only, but I really like to help people. In a way the volunteer works that I have done has made me more sociable and being brave to make an action at will.
Not only that, I have attended and even volunteered for one of the big events that usually happens around CPU which the Hear Us Out Conference where all of the student get to present the issues thats going in the world and the human rights. I was freaked out during the first semester because I was not used to the working world and doing a presentation to the public. We as a team has 2-3 person to present a certain topic so we divided the works equally. So as I was saying, the presentation had to be long as 45 minutes- 1hour so that people get more awareness Arif Naim Malaysian Studies (PD) Period 6 of a particular issue. After doing that activity, which was one of the biggest project for world issues students , the event had gave me a great impact on giving a presentation to the people who does not know whats going all around the world. It also have implanted some leadership skill in myself as it was coming the event itself.
I did not really have a problem in communication in the language, its just that I was very quiet because I was scared to make a mistake on saying toward something. Well thats before I came to CPU, after coming to CPU it gave me the idea of there is never wrong on what a person says, Its just that the person does not know much about it yet and eventually the person might be to be more knowledgeable about something through experiences. Maybe that just only me but that what keeps me motivated in order to be more brave on speaking ideas to other people. Communication is good way to get more information quickly by talking to a random person.
