Mrs. Toth- Exploratory French, 7
th
Grade
Children are learning basic vocabulary and useful words in the French
language.
One routine tool that the teacher used in order to get the children to work
independently was the completion of their bell ringers.
Objective: fully comprehend the vocabulary of chapter 2 and to be able to use
it together in phrases and complete sentences.
This objective was stated to the students
To engage the students she had various ways of keeping their attention
(speaking to them in French, video-question sessions, worksheets for review,
etc.)
Blooms Stages (knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis,
evaluation)
Mrs. Toth- In School Suspension, All Middle School
Any free teacher during that period of the day is the overseer
The students are very interactive with the teacher when they need
assistance.
More close knit feeling
Some of the students are actually more involved than they would be in a
larger classroom setting.
These students could be faced with Eriksons theory of development (trust
vs. mistrust, identity vs. role confusion, anatomy vs. shame, initiative vs.
guilt)
Mrs. Eyth- AP Art History & Computer Graphics II, 11
th
and 12
th
Grade
AP Objective: To be able to confidently identify key characteristics and
artworks from the Etruscan time period to the point where they will be
comfortable with it on the formal assessment.
Graphics Objective: Working with a web tool in order to manipulate,
enhance, and change the picture of an artist of their choice to the point
where they have total understanding of the tool.
Graphics- Learning performance Distinction- Bobo Doll experiment
Kids were shown what to do during graphics and how to complete it the
proper way; mean all of them did it though.
Mrs. White- Kindergarten Classroom
Probably my favorite and most informative observation
Pragmatist- very experimental with students, allow a lot of time for
questioning that forced the students to think and connect ideas
Socially keep to them selves and to listen when being spoke to
Routine- Calendar (going over he day of the week, month, year, counting to
the date, etc.)
Reading comprehension
Read a page with visuals; tell her what it said, make predictions on future
events.
Vocabulary that applied to the senses.
Did really well with her new reading curriculum
Also Blooms stages.
Mrs. Loy- Title I Reading, 1
st
Grade
Students with a below average reading level
More one on one time with the teacher
Learning pace is tailored to individual students
Word of the day as a review and then going over the previous sessions word
of the day.
A lot of work with online tools and games and aids were used in this
classroom
The way Mrs. Loys room was set up was particularly warm and inviting
which I believe had an affect on her children.
