10/20/2014 Mrs. Toth- Exploratory French, 7 th Grade Children are learning basic vocabulary and useful words in the French language. One routine tool that the teacher used in order to get the children to work independently was the completion of their bell ringers. Objective: fully comprehend the vocabulary of chapter 2 and to be able to use it together in phrases and complete sentences. This objective was stated to the students To engage the students she had various ways of keeping their attention (speaking to them in French, video-question sessions, worksheets for review, etc.) Blooms Stages (knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation) Mrs. Toth- In School Suspension, All Middle School Any free teacher during that period of the day is the overseer The students are very interactive with the teacher when they need assistance. More close knit feeling Some of the students are actually more involved than they would be in a larger classroom setting. These students could be faced with Eriksons theory of development (trust vs. mistrust, identity vs. role confusion, anatomy vs. shame, initiative vs. guilt) Mrs. Eyth- AP Art History & Computer Graphics II, 11 th and 12 th Grade AP Objective: To be able to confidently identify key characteristics and artworks from the Etruscan time period to the point where they will be comfortable with it on the formal assessment. Graphics Objective: Working with a web tool in order to manipulate, enhance, and change the picture of an artist of their choice to the point where they have total understanding of the tool. Graphics- Learning performance Distinction- Bobo Doll experiment Kids were shown what to do during graphics and how to complete it the proper way; mean all of them did it though. Mrs. White- Kindergarten Classroom Probably my favorite and most informative observation Pragmatist- very experimental with students, allow a lot of time for questioning that forced the students to think and connect ideas Socially keep to them selves and to listen when being spoke to Routine- Calendar (going over he day of the week, month, year, counting to the date, etc.) Reading comprehension Read a page with visuals; tell her what it said, make predictions on future events. Vocabulary that applied to the senses. Did really well with her new reading curriculum Also Blooms stages. Mrs. Loy- Title I Reading, 1 st Grade Students with a below average reading level More one on one time with the teacher Learning pace is tailored to individual students Word of the day as a review and then going over the previous sessions word of the day. A lot of work with online tools and games and aids were used in this classroom The way Mrs. Loys room was set up was particularly warm and inviting which I believe had an affect on her children.
