SUMMARY


I am very interested in the Medical Coder Interim position. I am presently
obtaining my Medical Coding Certificate from Catonsville Community College.
Because this position matches my interest,qualifications, work and educational
experience, I can be productive and a valuable coder to the Health Information
Department.



EXPERIENCE

Work independently. Conduct periodic quality audits and furnished the findings
and corrective action plans necessary. Responsible for ensuring that satisfaction
and service with internal contacts is maintained. Orient and train employees and
provide for the continuing education of the prep/scan team. Provide technical
support to all clerical functions, providing results and a plan of action to the H.I.M
Manager. Distributes pull list and participation in physician and reviewer request
regarding chart audits, research review and board certification requirements while
maintaining the HIPPA regulations, ensuring IRB protocol is followed and ensured

History and Physicals. Provided And coordinated a centralized system for the
routine and timely receipt and processing of the medical record of patient/client at
the time of discharge from an inpatient stay, conclusion of any episode of care in
the ambulatory care departments, emergency department, or any other unit of
care sponsored by the facility. Entered and verified deficiencies assigned to the
record into the system before and after discharge from inpatient status or
conclusion of ambulatory care. Determined proper authentication of all entries.
Performed a detailed analysis of the record to determine chart deficiencies.
