Remembering Understanding Applying Analyzing Evaluating Creating
Description of how to implement in the class: This video will be used to introduce the holiday of Thanksgiving to my students. Prior to
watching the video, I will lead a discussion about holidays and ask about the students favorite holidays. As a class, we will view the video and
students will be asked to remember one important fact. We will list the facts we have gathered on a flipchart. Once we have made our list, the
students will break into small groups and view the video again. While watching the video a second time, they are to find a fact that we had
not listed previously. We will then add the new facts to our flipchart. Once our flipchart is finished, the class will create an e-book about
Thanksgiving and publish it to our classroom blog.
* Examples of common instructional models include whole group, teacher-led, student self-paced, small group, or individual learning
activities. Use as many of these descriptors or other descriptors as apply.
