I will organise the video before class time. When class time begins, get ideas from random students about what they know of economy in area of sports.
Getting ready for the test and understanding the benefits of sports to the economy as a whole.
Review of the content they have learnt in class. Students take a note of what they have learnt in this class.

Students will be given an explanation of what sports economics is, why and how it impacts the economy as a whole. They will learn the benefits of having Olympics for a country with examples. After having a little discussion on what they already know, students will watch a one minute video and a two minute you tube video.
Academic vocabulary will be reviewed and the description for each word clearly read.

Check for understanding
Students will need to answer the questions that are reflected on the smart board about the two different videos. They will share their answers within groups of 4 and also share ideas with the whole class.

Students will be given handouts relating to the topic and complete the tasks while having discussions in their own groups.
