1. Roles & Responsibilities of CCs Kathy/Marv
a. University Supervisors
i. Recruiting and Recommend Supervisors
ii. Training of New Supervisors-Handbooks, Forms, CalTPAs, Dispositions, LiveText
iii. Conducting Supervisor Meetings
iv. Tracking Supervisor Participation-collecting the forms they complete
v. Payment of Master Teachers
b. Student Teachers/Interns
i. Determining Student Teacher/Intern Eligibility
ii. Placing Student Teachers in Schools and making placements in LiveText
iii. Organizing Seminars- develop schedule, set up speakers, track attendance, ensure
payment of speakers
iv. Developing Action Plans in consultation with Marv

2. Determining Candidate Eligibility for Student Teaching Angela

Where to get information on Candidate Eligibility:
Step 1- Academic Advisor- Provide education plan from Degree Works-Work with advisor to
determine if student has completed all coursework and program requirements (CBEST,CSET,TB, COC
and TPA 1) Determine which student teaching courses to have student register for
Step 2- Image Now- CBEST/CSET, TB form, COC-Look in Image Now to see if these are all current

3. Setting up a Placement Kathy
a. Student submits Student Teaching Application to your campus
b. CC checks students evaluation to see if they have met all requirements to be eligible for
student teaching (i.e. coursework, TB, CSET, CPR)
c. CC contact student indicating whether they are ready to student teach or if more
documentation is needed. (See sample letters)
d. Students who are ready may register for student teaching once CC communicates the
approval to OneStop who can register them
e. When candidates have met all requirements CC will look for a placement
f. When a placement is found CC will verify that the district is on the approved list or whether
a new agreement needs to be initiated
g. CC will submit Student Teaching Application Form to TAD office indicating which student
teaching course candidate will register for and provide details about the placement.
h. TAD office will send an email to CC indicating that the placement has been activated in
LiveText
i. CC goes into LiveText to establish placement that matches student to the school, master
teacher and supervisor. This will trigger an email notification to the master teacher
indicating that they now have access to the fieldwork site in LiveText

4. Using LiveText Kathy/Angela
a. Course Component of LiveText- Where supervisors fill out Formative/Summative
evaluations and dispositions
b. Fieldwork Component of LiveText- Where CCs make placements so master teachers,
student teachers and supervisors can communicate with one another
c. Phases of implementing LiveText-Fieldwork Component
i. Phase 1 -Helping CCs to set up the placements in LiveText
ii. Phase 2 -Training supervisors, master teachers and students to use the fieldwork
component and get master teachers and student teachers uploading some
documents there as well. (not there yet)

We will email you when the surveys are launched so you know to no longer collect them

Pass= PB No Pass= NB If candidate doesnt finish before term ends = SP
