BA Liberal Studies Curriculum Team Meeting

1. Happy New Year & Welcome to Sasha Crowley- Instructional Designer
2. Update on Deans Council Meeting-January 14, 2014
Approved policies and procedures portion of catalog copy to move forward to CAC and CHIT.
Suggestions made related to:
-Referencing different admission policies up front
-For the Integrated Emphasis want to make sure candidates have clearance to be in classrooms
-Need to get certificate of clearance and TB results within first term for Integrated CA Mult.Subject
Credential Emphasis
3. Update on Gen Ed Requirement for Mathematical Reasoning- Kathy shared that after a meeting with
Rachel, Ellen and Kathy it was decided that taking both MATU 206 and 207 met the Gen Ed
requirement
4. Update on Course Sequence for Integrated CA Multiple Subject Credential Option- Kathy shared a
draft of the course sequence for the Integrated CA emphasis
5. Update on New Courses
-Kathy and Ellen have provided feedback to all courses except EDUU 350 and LBSU 403
-The team reviewed all new course descriptions and objectives during the meeting
-Where are we with textbooks? Suggestions for signature assignments (didnt get to these topics)

-The team has begun revisions to the courses listed below and reported on their progress

7. Timeline
-Continue to work on developing courses/assignments
-Drafts of new course templates to Sasha and Ellen to Review by January 20 or 22nd?
-New course templates to Deans Council January 28

Johns Feedback: Consider allowing students who have met both history courses from another institution may
