DE/eLearning Project 2: Course Outline/Syllabus


Course Description:
For this e-learning project training course, students will need access to the internet and any
electronic calendar system such as google. In this calendar training module, students will learn
how to create company meetings, staff meetings, one on one consultation or other events to
expedite meetings planning, discussions and consultations. The training module will be
structured in two lessons.
After completion of this training, students will be able to effectively use an electronic calendar
system; students will be able to successful plan a company meeting or event; create a calendar
chart to set up any event or meeting; and produce daily schedules that show the events
information leading up to the scheduled event.

Instructional Goal:
An individual successfully completing this e-learning training module will learn how to create
google calendar events in three structure steps by setting up a free online calendar, listing events
and classes, scheduling work shifts and adding more calendars to link up with others.

Course Objectives:
Sub Goal 1: The instructor will leave a place available in the module for all participants to make
comments and to share notes regarding the course contents.
After completing this training module the student will:

Learn to use the electronic calendar system to navigate settings.


Learn to create group plans successfully online.
Create a calendar chart to set up any event or meeting.

Sub Goal 2: Students will learn how to create a successful company meeting or event based on
using the Google calendar system to add events, share events planning information, invite users
to view a document, list events such as classes or training sessions for interested parties to view,
coordinate meetings and conferences with colleagues and schedule work shifts.

After completing this training module the student will:

Create, edit and add users to the electronic calendar system.


Produce a daily schedule that shows the events information leading up to the
scheduled event.
Add, edit/modify/delete events on the calendar system.
Invite users to view a document.

Required material:
All required material, readings, and texts will be included in this E-Learning training course.
Access to the internet is required. The instructor assumes all students taking this training can
sufficiently navigate the internet.
Assignments:
Task work for this training course will include: discussion questions, mini quizzes and final
lesson completion project assignment. Each discussion question and quiz is related to specific
lesson topics. The project assignment is the final part of the lesson and is expected to make sure
the student can complete the setup. Total points: 300

Grading: Graded work for this training course will include: discussion questions, mini quizzes
and the final lesson completion project assignment. The quizzes and discussion questions will
cover the main topics of the course. The quizzes are available online and can be taken once. The
discussion questions are designed to help the student prepare for the quizzes and perform well on
the final project. Each discussion question and quiz is related to specific lesson topics. The
project assignment is the final part of the lesson and is expected to make sure the student can
complete the setup. Grades for this course will be assigned based on the rubric listed below.
