The Clockwork Orange was directed by Stanley Kubrick in 1971.

Malcolm McDowell plays Alex

Delarge the villain and hero during all the movie.
This movie is based on the great book from the English writer Anthony Burgess, and tells about
the Alex Delarge's life: a young boy that go out with his friends (or droogs), spreading violence,
stealing and having fun. But some day, the fun becomes horror when Alex is arrested for have
committed an assassination and to be fooled by his friends. At the jail, he is submitted in a kind
of process to make him free of all kind of violence: the Ludovic Method. This is my favourite
scene, because the process consists of inject a chemical substance inside Alex and make him to
watch a lot of violent movies with Beethoven as soundtrack. So they use a kind of tweezer to
keep his eyes open.
After this process, Alex becomes an ingenuous person, he can't fight, he can't beat anybody,
neither defend himself, he can't listen to the Beethoven's pieces. Rethinking about his creation
and after Alex almost being died, the Primer Minister made Alex pass by other process to
become him, who he really was.
I think this is a movie that you must to have on DVD, because it shows how the State can get
control about human life and change your personality, your mind, your attitudes and actions.
This is implicit on the title that means: "with organic shape that works mechanicaly". An
excellent movie to analyse the society and its characteristics. Moreover, it's an "horrorshow
total" movie!
