INSTRUCTIONS

2-4 Players Ages 8+

OVERVIEW:
A Chance to Advance is a game of business strategy. The object of
the game is to have the highest net worth (money + business value
loans) at the end of the game by successfully owning and
maintaining a business.

SETTING UP:
Find a designated area to place the board
Separate the cards and money into individual piles
Designate a banker for the game. The banker manages
transaction with the bank, deals with business upgrades, and
manages stock purchases.
Each player should receive
o (1) $10.000 Bill
o (1) $5.000 Bill
o (5) $1.000 Bills
o (10) $500 Bills
o (1) $50.000 Loan Ticket
o (1) Barber Business Card
Each player should select (1) pawn and place it start

TILES:
Risk: When a player lands on this tile, they should roll the dice
again. If the player rolls a 1, 2, or 3 then the player pays the
amount listed on the tile to the bank. If the player rolls a 4, 5, or 6
the player collects the amount listed on the tile from the bank

Lawsuit: When the player lands on this tile they should select
another player to suit. Both players roll the dice, and the player
with the lower dice roll pays to the player with the higher roll
Get Paid: When a player crosses this tile, the player collects the
amount money listed under the Profit on their business card(s). If
the player lands on the tile, they collect double the amount.
Pay Taxes: When a player lands on this tile, they pay the bank the
amount listed under Tax on their business card(s).
Underpass: This tile is in the middle of the board. If they land on this
tile, they should remain there until their next turn. No action is taken
on this tile.
Business Trading: When a player crosses this tile, they can purchase
or sell their business. If the player lands on the tile, they get a free
stock card if they purchase a business.

CARDS:
Business Cards: These cards represent the business that you own in
the game. The amount on the front is the cost/value of the business.
On the back, there is how much you earn get paid and how much
taxes are
Stock Cards: When you purchase a stock, you select this card. Each
card costs $10.000 each. When you sell the stock, you roll the dice
and collect the amount listed on your card for that dice roll. You
must wait at least one turn to sell a stock after you purchase it.

GAME PLAY:
All players roll the dice. The player with the highest roll starts, and
the play continues clockwise.
On their turn, each player should roll the die and move that
amount of spaces. When they land on the tile, they should take the
action that corresponds with the tile.
The player can also choose to do the following actions:
o Pay off a loan
o Purchase/Sell a Stock Card
o Take a loan

PURCHASING A BUSINESS
You can purchase a business after passing or landing on business
trading. Pay the bank the amount listed on the front of the tile. You
can only purchase 2 of the same business after you have all 4
businesses.

SELLING A BUSINESS
You can sell a business after passing or landing on business
trading. You can collect 80% of the business value when you sell
the business. The amounts you collect for each business are listed
below.
o Barber Shop - $20.000
o Movie Theater - $40.000
o Video Game Company - $80.000
o Airline - $160.000

LOANS
$50.000 Loan Every player starts the game with this loan. The
amount a player pays back on this varies, depending on when in
the game the pay it off.
o Before Underpass - $50.000
o After Underpass - $75.000
o End of Game - $100.000
$10.000 Loan This loan is taken within the game. It can be taken
any time it is the players turn. To pay off this loan, the player must
pay $20.000

ENDING THE GAME


The first player to reach the finish tile should collect $75.000 from the
bank
The player should sell of all of their stock cards
The player should pay off all loans. If they dont have enough
money to pay the loan off, the loan slip should be kept.
All players should calculate their net worth (add the value of their
business plus the amount of cash they have and subtract the
amount they owe in loans. Example - $100.000 Business Value +
$5.000 Cash - $40.000 Loan = $65.000 Net Worth)
The player with the highest net worth is the winner of the game.
