Problems faced when applied in a commercial car

Our method is primarily based on frictional contact between the
sphere and omni wheel.
Accumulation of dirt inside the wheel housing.
Dirt and oil accumulated will reduce thecontact friction, resulting in
slipping of vehicle.

Future application
It can be used in automated guided vehicle (AGV)
By using servo motor or stepper motor on wheels, specific
displacement can be given to each wheel

By using magnetic levitation
The motor and wheel can be combined into a single unit
By making rotor and stator in spherical shape
Stator has no contact with rotor so friction can be eliminated
Oil and dirt has no effect on the wheel
Treads can be provided on the wheel thus providing a better grip
