Aim of project

Design, simulate and implement a Digital Control Algorithm that can provide a step response that has no overshoot and
minimum rise time when applied to a DC Servo Motor

Summary of work to be undertaken:


1) Investigate Z-Transforms and sampled data control system design
2) Investigate specific Digital Control Algorithms that could meet the desired specification
3) Create a mathematical model of a specific servo motor.
4) Verify the mathematical model and simulate the step response in Matlab with Simulink and a GUI
5) Design a Digital Control Algorithm and verify its applicability through simulation
