Location and Acceleration (1)

From U.S. Design Maps, acceleration values (Ss & S1) for
design can be obtained.
Obtain the acceleration data for the location
1. Open the following website.
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/designmaps/us/application.php
2. Select Code Reference Document ASCE 7-10
3. Select Site Soil Classification
4. Select Risk Category I or II or III
5. Enter Address on the Map Site Latitude / Longitude
6. Click Compare Values
7. Obtain the Ss and S1 values
8. Obtain the Sms & Sm1 / SDS & SD1 values
