Sharing "Small Wins"
Develop a newsletter, executive summary, or presentation that communicates a small win in your
change strategy implementation to stakeholders in the organization. The small win can be factual or
fictional, but should align with the proposed change strategy from assignments in Week One through
Three. In your presentation, include the following:

Running Head: SHARING SMALL WINS

Executive Summary: Technological Integration

Change Strategy
The strategy involves integrating technology into business training and marketing. The
rationale for the strategy is that technology can increase collaboration/communication efforts
between distanced business associates which is a trending approach to business facilitation in
today's commercial market. Because the participants have previous knowledge/need to utilize
social networks, instructional software and computer hardware the technological integration
strategy is within the boundaries of existing knowledge which can be enhanced fortified with
additional knowledge. The training of the business associates in technology is a strategy that
also fosters career/personal growth for all stakeholders as each discovers new approaches to
organizing, collecting, storing, and disseminating information which may be useful in most any
business/education environment in years to come.
Small Win
A small win occurred as a matter of a hindsight account of previous attempts to
collaborate/communicate over distance. Before actually deciding that technology was the next
best thing for our cause, we were communicating through Face Book, emails, and to a lesser
extent-Skype. Thus, the small win was the background knowledge that was actually the
unofficial beginning of the technological integration. The small win let us know that we
were on the right track and gave us something to reflect/build upon.
Small Win Benefits
The benefits of the small win range from learning from mistakes while using technology to
communicate/collaborate to actually having a point of reference to re-visit and use for furthering
knowledge. The leaders benefited from the prior knowledge because it has reduced resistance caused
by fear of change and the resentment of sharing ideas within the organization. Because pa participants

dabbled in the use of social networks/emails the change implementation will not come a total shock
to the organization's culture. The learners (business associates) benefited from the
knowledge/experience of roughing it with the new forms of technology tested for fit with the purpose
of the change implementation. The small win gave the organization a prelude of change to come which
will serve to buffer the change implementation.
Shared Value
The previous experience (small win) of trial and error gained from
communicating/collaborating online the participants accumulated will be extended and new
knowledge will be applied to strategy/action . All stakeholders in the change forum will benefit
from the change implementation. The leadership will benefit from the training of a group that
will perform business tasks/projects with technological competence and collaboration amongst
members The learners will benefit from the knowledge gained through technological training
and the experience of hands on technological projects, testing and feedback which will make
their skills more marketable. All stakeholders stand to benefit in monetary gains/career
advancement from the innovative disruption.
Relevant data and Results
Action research on technological integration into business platforms was performed preceding the
creation of the change strategy. During the action research the participants(business associates) were
required were required to use technology to communicate with the leader sand take a series of tests
which revealed that after the information/results from the test were interpreted/disclosed, feedback
solicited and re-testing the test scores rose by 27 % overall and on the average by 6.75 % per learners. .
The participants were are also required to collaborate online through Wikis before the testing and after.
Before the test it took over two weeks to complete the collaborative Wiki which mandated that each

member perform research on different aspects of technological integration into business and present a
mock presentation of a technology training manual for small business. After the testing it only took 6
days to create an entirely new wiki page devoted to the creation of a training manual and the second
manual was more informative than the first. The trial and error with the software/technology (small
win) proved to be the background for new discoveries. The organization often refers to as the best
mistakes our organization ever made ! The implications and impact of the small win will be shared to
all stakeholders through Wiki pages and emails in terms of the organization progression with
technological integration since the small win for review and feedback before the actual change
implementation strategy is put into action. The following represents an overview of the change
process: (1) Make strategy and plan (2) assess and improve readiness (3) analyze stakeholders (4)
minimize resistance (5) secure small win (6) stakeholder input into planning (7) scale and sustain the
initiative and, (8) build in ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement (Spiro, 2011). The
executive summary for the small win in retrospect displays the recommended best practices on a
small scale. The intention of the executive summary was to share knowledge of a small win which is
in itself a recommended best practice; yet, aspects of all the best practices are intentionally
incorporated in the summary in order to ensure the plan integrates knowledge that result in best practice
standards in change management.
Continual Improvements
Once the feedback is gathered , interpreted and integrated into the change strategy, changes will be
communicated through emails and Wiki for further review and feedback, This will allow the leader to
further develop strategy that includes stakeholder input. To attain a successful technological
integration with great returns on investment, companies need to develop a systematic approach to
technological integration ( About Leaders, 2013). The process of researching, data collecting,
interpreting data and recommending/executing changes in strategy has been duplicated throughout

research and preliminary stages of the change implementation and will continue throughout
implementation on a periodic basis.
Change Strategy Summary and Best Practices Integration
The summary includes includes the clear/precise projection of a vision of change represented by
the details in the description of the change. Without the guidance of change leaders managing the
challenges of ongoing change, people may resist change instead of embrace change. Furthermore, the
summary includes a description of the strategic planning process and concerns for continual
improvement through data collection, feedback and revisions based on the results. The summary also
includes a documentation of stakeholder's input/readiness by soliciting participant feedback and
requiring technological tools to be the means for submitting feedback/collaboration.

If you choose to create a presentation, you may use PowerPoint, Prezi, or VoiceThread. Another
option is to create a newsletter or executive summary using Microsoft Word. You must use at least one
source in addition to the course text. Use APA for all formatting, citations, and references. Include an
introduction and conclusion as well.
Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.
