Are Video Games Harful to us?
The Question on Everyones MInds right
now, are Video Games harmful to us?
Well maybe not me and you, but more
the younger audience. We have a Issue
in todays world that many underage kids
are getting access to violent games that
are 18s and 15s, Games such as Grand
Theft Auto, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed
and many other leading games out there
to buy, Wherever you look now in games
there is a case of high level gore and violence, or explicit langauge and use of Sex
and Drugs, is the Healthy for children to be
surrounded by this? In our recent Focus
group we asked this, Are Children suitbale
to be playing this games? and the simple
answer was No, These Games, In Particullar GTA and Call of DUty are very known
for Violence, Explicit Language and Crime.
Our chosen are We deicded to speak
about was Cal of Duty and we recently did
a Questionair about the game, Peoples
opinions of the game was they enjoy the
Online, Love the Violence and love the realism of the game, But more imporantly do
we asked Do you feel Call of Duty effects
your behaviour? and everyone told us No,
Not at all.

GTA V?
Assassins Creed Unity?

Why are Video Games Blamed by the Mass Media?

Well this can relate to many Theories, starting with the Hyperdermic Needle Theroy, which is a Theory that suggests
a Passive Audience that everything they see, is right, what they see, they believe, So for example a Child shot his
mother in the head but the media were quick to jump on that the child was playing GTA 2 hours before the event, can
this even be prooved that the cause of this was GTA? there is a very high chance this was just of Moral panic where
the child has had problems with his up brining, but this also could of been him Playing GTA and he may of been a Passive audience and maybe he thought by playing this game, what he was doing would be okay to do in reality. Or even
the Hyperdermic Needle Theory, COD can allow you to play as a team and may have an effect on that person because
he wants to be a part of it and got carried away in that situation. The Hyperdermic Needly Theory has many flaws in its
theory, not everything we hear and seeis correct, just because video games are played, is to mean its bad?
