A good variety of shots and a good variety of continuity techniques used.

Appropriate
pace & content
for genre.
Position &
order of titles.

Pace is a little slow due to the long shot that isnt effective for the genre of horror.
Horror films often also have a slow beginnings/opening sequence, which I have
followed.
The titles are neatly positioned in the centre of the screen. Follows the conventions of
the horror titles.

Introduction of

Introduction of
storyline.

The audience are able to see both characters and distinguish their personalities.
Characters are introduced well.
Storyline is easy to follow. However, the future scene is hard to recognise. Its clear what
is happening until the end.

Clearly an
opening
sequence.
Use of sound.

It seems to follow the conventions of a horror opening sequence.

Future scene.

Future scenes are hard to recognise.

Good music choice to go to with the opening sequence. The music is appropriate for a
horror.

Use the aid of dialogue
and transitions to make storyline
clearer.

The use of sound effects will
increase the tension. Especially
during future scenes.
A voice over will help make this
