Q: What do you think this is? -We talked about rights and responsibilities yesterday, can someone remind me what a responsibility is? -These are the Rings of Responsibilities! Our responsibilities grow from ourselves out to our friends and families, and out to the larger community. -Q: What might be some responsibilities we have to ourselves? An example might be I choose to eat healthy food whenever possible. These are the things we do to keep us safe and healthy, and to protect our reputations. -Q: Do you know what a reputation is? Its what you are known for. You want a good reputation! -Q: What is a community? A group of people who live in the same place or work in the same area. Is our class a community? How about our school? -Q: What are some responsibilities we have to our friends and family? -Q: What are some responsibilities we have to the larger community? -Give RoR handout. Take out a ruler, and a pencil. Draw a dotted line across the center of the circles. -Write down one responsibility in each of the top sections. -Questions about what the girls know about the internet and their online habits. -Q: What do you think a digital citizen is? When were online, we still have responsibilities to ourselves, friends & family, and the online community. -Activity: center of classroom is the self, outside of desks is friends and family, touching outside walls is larger community. I will read a few statements out loud.
