how you and your peers learn best . . . what are you going to say? "I have no clue,"
Ned Cephalus nervously says from behind the podium. "I'm just a very average
teenage brain"complete with backpack, zits, and a journal he keeps about school.
Yet in this funny and fast-paced "NED talk," Ned knocks out eight powerful conditions
of learning that can change everything for students. Funding from the Nellie Mae

The Power of Belief - Mindset and Success: Eduardo Briceno at TEDxManhattanBeach

TEDx Talks
Publicado el 18/11/2012
The way we understand our intelligence and abilities deeply impacts our success.
Based on social science research and real life examples, Eduardo Briceo articulates
how mindset, or the understanding of intelligence and abilities, is key. When students
or adults see their abilities as fixed, whether they think they're naturals or just not
built for a certain domain, they avoid challenge and lose interest when things get hard.
Conversely, when they understand that abilities are developed, they more readily
adopt learning-oriented behaviors such as deliberate practice and grit that enable
them to achieve their goals. But this belief is itself malleable, and there are clear
actions we can all take to establish a growth mindset and enable success for our
children, our peers and ourselves.

A Mindset for Success: Growth vs Fixed Mindset

Jon Pratlett
Publicado el 12/9/2012
How do you respond to change, setbacks and challenges? Your mindset and what you
say to yourself, will determine what meaning you make from the experience, how you
feel about it, and what you do with it. With the right mindset and self talk, you are
much more likely to persist toward a goal, despite setbacks, or "learning experiences".
Learn more here to set yourself up for success and email Jon at
success@jonpratlett.com if you would Jon to present to your organisation.

basketball nonetheless, explains why obstacles can provide an opportunity to both
inspire others and develop character.
