Preschool education is very important in forming childrens characteristics, such as
personality, social skills, and emotion. Many characteristics of children are formed in the
preschool years. These include making friends, taking turns, being polite, and building
self-respect. Therefore, preschool teachers have more responsibilities than just teaching them
knowledge. Teaching is one of the most stressful occupations.
Due to preschool teacher does not only teaching children academic knowledge, but
also take care of kids daily lives, because preschoolers are more needy. Preschoolers need
more attentions from adults, such as they are always misbehaviors; they cannot pay attention
for a long time; or some of them need extra individual help because of their abilities.
Therefore, preschool teachers experience higher burnout rates than who work with older
students.
Burnout is individuals at the state of tired and exhausted under many stresses of
work, that individuals cannot deal with tasks successfully or cannot give a positive reactions
when they are facing stresses. Preschool teachers are more likely to be vulnerable to stress,
because their work is very complicated, comprehensive, and stressful, and they experience
lower job satisfaction levels (Johnson, Cooper, Cartwright, Donald, Taylor, &Millet 178).
Special nature of work, additional work content, and social support are the main

factors to lead teachers to feel exhausted. The physics and emotion of preschoolers are still
developing and not complete. Preschool teachers need support more help and pay more
attention to them. Additionally, preschool teachers need to prepare the curriculum in limited
time, sometimes even at home. In China, preschool teachers also need to finish at least two
scholar research papers a year. Sometimes, they have to prepare some demonstrative
lessons as well. Besides that, teachers have lack of support both from directors and parents.
They need more understand and cooperation from both directors and parents.
In order to decrease the level of stress, preschoolers need to find out some ways to
release the stress. First of all, teachers need to be helped to be a positive person. Children
could bring adults a lot of fun, because of their naive, cute, smart characteristics. Additionally,
teachers and their directors should always have good and enough communication. Therefore,
directors can aware what teachers really need both physically and emotionally. Teachers also
need to always communicate with parents as well. Not only tell them how their kids behave
at school, but also give them some professional ways to effect their children at home. A
successful education cannot live without the cooperation both by teachers and parents.
Besides that, Teachers should have some entertainment and enjoy their rest of time. Most of
the preschoolers are women. Hang out with friends and speak out what they think is really a
good way to release the stress.
In conclusion, preschoolers are experiencing burnout. Studying burnout
among preschool teachers would help improve understanding of job-stress enhance their
career lives. Understanding the sources of burnout may be beneficial for schools as well as
administrations. Moreover preschoolers will be better understood.
