Family Engagement Project (activity plan)


Title: Football Frenzy
Author: Goodnight Football- Michael Dahl
Football Colors- Mark Weakland

Learning Targets: Fine Motor Skills- picking up the markers and drawling a
distinct pattern
Self-assessment- The students will choose a design from the
design board and create their own football helmet based on their grade level. Then
the will compare their design to the one that is on the design board.
Materials: Football Helmet coloring sheet, design board, football books, coloring
pencils/markers/crayons, and stickers
Procedures: There will be a board that has designs that the students can choose
from. The designs will be based on their grade level. The higher the grade lever the
more difficult the design will be. The book Football Colors has a bunch of different
colors in it and those are the only colors that the students can use. Once they choose
a design from the board and create their design then they will compare it to the
design that I have on the board.

Differentiations: The differentiations are the different levels of design that the
students will create. The higher the grade level the more difficult the design will be.
Standards: This teaches the students fine art and in a way algebra. They have to
match their design to the one that I have created so in a way it is a matching
exercise.
