Copyright/Fairuse
1.) How is fair use different from copyright?
Fair use provides limitations on the copyright act, it allows users other
than the copy right owner to copy part, or sometimes all, of the
copyright work even when the copyright initial holder hasnt given
permission. An example that can be used in fair use is a student doing
limited copying for schoolwork. This is why educators make it a
priority that students understand the significance of citing their work
when they are using someone elses information.
Copyright act is a law that gives the creator the exclusive right to
reproduce works for a limited time period. A copyright should contain
three things on it. The name of the person who established it, the letter
C in a circle or the word copyright, and the year in which the work
was first created. Examples of copyright act law in fair use with text is
up to 10% of a copyrighted work or 1000 words whichever is less,
internet resources often combine both copyrighted and public domain
sites; therefore care should be used in downloading any sites for use in
multimedia presentations.

2.) Explain why producers of multimedia works should respect the work of
other producers?
They should respect other producers works because they would want
their own work respected. There are many guidelines in the fair use
act that sets rules to help with the respecting of other peoples work.
They are set for a reason and that reason is so no one feels like their
hard work is being stolen or so that no one takes credit for something
that isnt theirs.
