Introduction
This section should cover four main areas:

Repeat the objective, giving more details

State the equations used, with units and full definition of symbols

Supply some background for the work

Give a brief overview of what you are going to do

Experimental Apparatus
This section is basically a list of equipment required:

Be specific about size of each item

Use a Figure number against a listed item to direct the reader to a diagram where
necessary

Provide a formal figure header with each diagram

Experimental Procedure
This section should be written:

In paragraph format

In the third person

In a past, passive tense

Presentation of Results

Only include data that are collected during the experiment

Use short sentences direct the reader to a results table (using Table numbers)

If the calculations are minimal, they can be included in this section

Give each table a formal table header

Theory and Calculations

Restate equations (in full) from the introduction

For repeated calculations, give details of one example calculation and then tabulate further
results

Units are essential

Discussion of Results
The following areas should be included:

Express the numerical results in words, saying the obvious

Assess confidence limits, errors, validity of test etc.

Discuss what your answers mean. Where your results as expected?

Discuss the implications of your results in a wider sphere

Conclusion

Present your conclusions as a bulleted list

The conclusion should answer the objective

Everything that is included here should already have been included in other sections

References

Use a recognised reference citation scheme
