TECHNOLOGY TODAY

Todays technology is increasing by the minute. With the amazing features that
robots can perform it has been a long journey from when technology first began. Robots are now
residing within certain jobs and have acquired to take the workplaces that humans being poses.
Todays technology is incredible and can help do certain things faster, robots are one of the
amazing things that technology has created. If robots are able to do certain thing that every day
humans do they will eventually hurt the society and
people as well.

In the video Humans Need Not Apply, the

speaker CGP Grey, talks about robots and how they
can do a better job than humans. The idea of a selfdriving car is showed in the video as just one of the
reasons humans are not particularly need for this

matter. CGP Grey, explains that these cars are much

safer than when humans intend to drive the car themselves. The fact that Humans cause over
forty-thousand deaths a year alone, while automated cars are to insure a less amount deaths due
to car accidents.

The video titled Kiva: Working Robots, provides the basic example of what will
replace human workers. The robots run more than twelve hours plus without breaks and few
errors. They are given specific tasks in the back of a warehouse and seamlessly complete them.
The miniature machines move around workloads all day and cost much less to maintain then the
average human employee. Certain thing that would take a humans a day or two to finish, it

would take a robot half of that time. Everyone is required to take a break at some point of the day
either is a twenty minute break or to an hour break. With the help of robots they do not require
breaks.

The Honda Motor Company developed Asmio, it stands for

Advance Step in Innovation Mobility. Asimo is one of the most
advance robots we have today. Hondas engineers have been busy
creating Asimo for over the past twenty years. Instead of building
a robot that is just another toy, Honda decided to build a robot that
is more complex and can also help humans with the basic things
people do each day.

Most people have grown up watching and knowing about robots on tv. They demonstrate
robots helping around the house either with cooking or chores. Asimo is the robot that everyone
has seen ontv. According to Lee Ann Obringer and Jonathan Strickland, authors of How ASIMO
Works, Asimo can cook dinner, do homework, clean the house, and even buy groceries. This
robot is able to do certain things the average human can do. Asimo could also do jobs that are too
dangerous for the average humans who would not consider doing the job.

Technology gets more advanced every day. Robots are one of the things technology are
able to create. Asimo is a prime factor of how technology will forever change the way people go
about lives. There is no telling what would still exist or work in the future but one thing is for
sure, technology will still be there.
