Program Learning Outcome (PLO) Coversheet: PLO #4


PLO 4: Develop and implement strategies that promote partnerships between programs, teachers, families,
and their communities.

Research Project
o I know how to present information to parents in a way for them to understand and have accurate
information.
Child Progress Report
o This assignment shows how the child has progressed, where the child was at prior, and why we
measure a child.
Parent letter
o I know how to incorporate what the class will be doing, what activities we will be doing, and
how to introduce my plan in an inviting manner.

Research Project
o I learned how to find credible information and reliable sources for a research paper.
Child Progress Report
o I learned how to fill out a progress report for a child. I also know how summarize what the
strengths and weaknesses are of the child to present to the parents.
Parent letter
o I know how to write a professional and appropriate parent letter, write all the information in a
short and simple matter, and invite parents to participate.

o I have learned how to find agencies that relate to families and the topic I am researching.

o I have learned how to provide suggestions for the parents to help their child and also how to be
objective when writing a progress report.

o I have learned how to make a short and friendly parent letter with not too much or too little
information for the parents to read.

Research Project
o This assignment helped show me why it is important to research topics that can educate teachers,
families, and their communities to help any families in need.
Child Progress Report
o This assignment influenced by belief of promoting partnerships by having both the families and
teachers involved for the best education of the child.
Parent letter
o This assignment showed me how to keep parents informed in what their child is doing and also
helping form a relationship between teachers and parents.

upon your existing knowledge and skills and your teaching.
I will continue to become more knowledgeable with my research topic about military families. I would
like to help in any way that I can to help these families.
As I continue working in a preschool environment, I will be able to incorporate my knowledge of
writing a child progress report. I will be able to give appropriate suggestions for parents about their
child.
As I continue working in a preschool environment, I will continue writing informative parent letters and
creating ways for parents to be involved with the curriculum. I think it is important for parents to be
involved in their childs education and a great start would be getting them involved through parent
letters.
