theRightsofWomen.Theiradvocacyworksupportedwomenactivistsdirectlyandindirectly.
TheprogramalsoworkedcloselywithcoalitionofadvocacygroupsandobtaintheUnited
NationsSecurityCouncilResolutionsintheyears1820and1888. Theprogramalsosupported
creationsofanewUnitedNationsposition.ThespecialRepresentativetotheSecretaryGeneral
onSexualViolenceinConflictisoccupiedbyanexperiencedcandidate.
